The Cornell Real Estate Council Career Advisory Mentorship Program (CAMP) connects undergraduate and graduate students with experienced Cornell alumni across the commercial real estate industry.

As a mentee, you will:

- Learn how professionals navigate decisions, tradeoffs, and transitions
- Build confidence in recruiting, networking, and professional communication
- Receive candid guidance from alumni who have been where you are
WHAT CAMP MENTORS CAN EXPECT
As a mentor, you will:
- Support student development through meaningful 1:1 conversations
- Share industry insight, perspective, and lessons learned
- Strengthen your connection to Cornell and the CREC community
- Contribute to a stronger, more informed talent pipeline
Spring 2026 Timeline
Whether you're participating as a Student Fellow or Alumni Advisor, here's what you can expect from our 4-month pilot mentorship program.
February: Application Period Opens
Applications open February 10th and remain open through February 28th. Applicants will be asked about their background, interests, and goals to support matching.
March: Application Review and Selection
Applications are reviewed for eligibility and program fit.
Matches are made based on:
- Career interests and goals
- Industry experience and exposure
- Alignment in communication style and availability
Selected participants will receive confirmation and next steps.
April: Program Kick-Off
The program begins with a virtual orientation outlining expectations, best practices, and timelines. Mentor–mentee pairs are introduced, and mentees initiate scheduling for their first 1:1 meeting. Optional cohort programming or touchpoints may be offered during the pilot.
July: Pilot Program Ends
The pilot concludes in late July. Participants will be invited to share feedback through a short survey to help inform future iterations of the program.

We are looking for students who are:
- Curious about commercial real estate and career pathways
- Willing to engage in honest, professional conversations
- Prepared to take ownership of scheduling and meeting agendas
- Open to feedback and committed to follow-through
- Willingness to participate in 2 career-oriented workshops, 1 kick-off event, and 4 monthly 1:1s
CAMP ADVISORS
We are looking for alumni who are:
- Cornell graduates with meaningful industry experience
- Interested in supporting student development through guidance and perspective
- Willing to commit to one meeting per month over the program period
- Thoughtful, inclusive, and professional in their approach
